Easter Bunny Coloring Inspiration
Are you not sure how to get started? Below, I have colored my favorite illustration from the series. You can try these colors or create your own style. I have also shared some tips to help you with your coloring. So grab your crayons or markers and turn your pages into something bright, colorful, and full of fun!
Happy Easter Bunny Celebration
When I was sketching this coloring page, I wanted to create a carefree and fun illustration. I made the bunny the main subject and gave them a sweet and calm smile, and expressive eyes, to help make them lovable.
The bunny is surrounded by little elements such as Easter eggs and flowers to help add to the Easter theme. These tiny elements contribute to a light feeling as well. The curved, animated “Happy Easter” writing at the top provides a celebratory feeling, making the whole scene look happy and bright.
For the coloring, I decided to use a bright decorative palette that draws from traditional Easter decorations. The bunny itself is colored in soft, warm neutral tones like light cream and beige, so it feels gentle and fluffy. Whereas the eggs are vibrant colors, including pink and turquoise, yellow, orange, and purple. In the background, I used soft sky blues and fresh greens to give it a calm outdoor feel.
The scene maintains its balance because the colorful eggs contrast with the soft background tones which create a balanced visual effect.
This free printable gives lots of opportunities to experiment with colors, patterns, shading, and textures. Easter is known for its soft pastel shades like pink, yellow, blue, and purple, but you don’t have to stick to those. You can create a rainbow bunny, a polka-dot bunny, or even a magical glowing bunny.
To give the bunny a soft and fluffy look, try gentle shading. Start with a light cream or beige base colour, then use slightly darker shades under the ears, around the cheeks, and under the paws. Blending these two tones slightly will give the character a very soft appearance. Make sure to do light strokes that follow the direction the fur would naturally grow, especially around the ears, face, and body.
With the Easter eggs, you should start with a base color for each egg, then go ahead and fill them with patterns of contrasting colors. You can also try this on the illustrations with Easter baskets. For example, for a purple-colored egg, use yellow or turquoise for the stripes or dots. You can also try blending two colors together by starting with one colour at the top and gradually bringing in the other color towards the bottom. This creates a soft gradient look and gives the egg more dimension.
