Halloween Cupcake
The theme was simple, I wanted to make every element cheerful and inviting, perfect for inspiring kids without making anything look too ‘realistic’ or creepy. To do this I went with soft colors to keep it super kid-friendly and fun.
The cupcake is a classic bakery-style tan and white with the traditional candy corn colors, just really clean and bright to make it look yummy. The pumpkins are a warm orange, nothing too dark or scary – nice friendly jack-o’-lanterns.
For the ghosts, a light, almost ethereal white with a hint of pink blush keeps them cute. And the bats are a soft, dark grey that works well against the deep blue night sky. The sky itself is a deep indigo, making the bright yellow stars and moon really pop without being too intense.
